The good news is that commun-iT has created a comprehensive database for IT Contractors/Sole Traders, with 27 categories and more than 160 sub-categories of skills and capabilities for you to use to search. You can also search by specific working experience/specialities such as Green IT, NBN Ready, Open Source, Export and Government Business. As well as searching by qualifications and experience, and speciality in a specific target market such as health or mining.
And you can find out whether they are available for hire now, or in the future.
However, in our enthusiasm to bring you the benefits of commun-iT we have not yet populated this Directory, and so your search results will return a low or nil return. Don' worry we are working hard on this, and will keep you posted as we populate the directory.
